Day 13
Well obviously its been almost two weeks since I last posted. Unfortunately life has been extremely busy and I haven't had a chance to update my blog lately. Hopefully starting today I am going to get back to updating more often. So as I said the last two weeks have been extremely busy, but I have tried to keep to my program as mush as possible. The first week I had a couple tough workouts, but didn't get as many workouts in as I would have liked. The second week was alot better. I worked out 4 days last week and all were an hour to and hour and half. I am hoping to workout 5 days this week. I am trying to stay positive right now because so far my weight has not changed at all. Not even one pound!!! Which makes this whole process extremely frustrating! I'm going to continue to try and get better on my diet and try to fit 5-6 work outs in for the next couple weeks. If I don't start to see some kind of weight loss I think I am going to finally visit my DR to see if I might have some type of chemical imbalance or something like that. It is the last thing I can think of. With as much activity as I am doing I should be losing weight regardless of what I am eating, so I should really be losing with being on a half way healthy diet. So that is all I have for now. I will be back in a day or two with my next update. Wish me luck!

So Far So Good!
Day 2
Well Day 1 went well. Protein shake for bfast, cheese stick for snack, beans and hot dogs for lunch, apples and peanut butter for snack, and turkey tacos for dinner. For my workout I went to the gym and tried my first "Boot Camp". While I was in class I was definitely regretting it. I thought, "this probably wasn't the greatest idea" as I was about to puke, but I survived, and now I am glad I tried it. I plan to return on Wednesday nights from now on.
Today started off good too. I didn't get much sleep, but surprisingly woke up feeling pretty good. Not really any soreness from the boot camp workout the night before and I feel like I have a lot of energy!!! YAY!! I need to get some breakfast because my stomach is about to eat itself, but excited about my day. Breakfast is going to be a protein shake again, yogurt for snack, havent decided on lunch or dinner yet. I dont have a "workout" scheduled for today, because Thursday nights are my Ultimate Frisbee nights. I play for about 3 hrs so I would say that it is a great cardio workout disgiused as an increditibly fun sport. See ya tomorrow!

Today is the DAY!
Day 1
Today is the day that I begin my journey to improve my health and loose the weight that I have struggled with for many years. I have never in my life been, what I would consider "In Shape", but 5-6 years ago I was running on a daily basis and was able to maintain a comfortable weight of 165-170lbs. Since then I have steadily put on close to 40 lbs and I'm currently at 208lbs!!! This is just not acceptable to me any longer! The hardest part has been that its not as though I sit around and do nothing all day. I feel like I am fairly athletic. I play Ultimate Frisbee 1 to 2 times a week and in the past 8mths I have done 4 Triathlons and three 5K runs!!! So, I have created this blog to both track my progress and to keep me motivated as it will hold me accountable to what I am eating and how much I am exercising. The exercise plan is to use a combination of P90X and Running, since I am also going to be training for a half marathon in Feb. My goal is to work out 1-2 hours per day at least 5 days a week. My diet is nothing too fancy, just cut out the really bad stuff (i.e. sodas, pizza, cheeseburgers, and fried chicken) and reduce, not eliminate, my carb intake until I loose at least 15-20lbs and then I will begin bringing carbs back into my diet to keep my body fueled as my work outs progressively get longer and more intense. I plan to update my blog once per day with everything that happened the day before and the plan for the current day. I will try to post Pics on a weekly basis to show the progress I am making.
So, lets get things started!
My starting weight is 208lbs and today I plan to start my diet with a protein shake for Bfast and then probably a cheese stick for snack and a ham sandwich for lunch. Then I will have another snack in the afternoon and I am thinking pork roast for dinner! Yum! My workout today will either be a P90X workout or I will hit the gym tonight. Below are my DAY 1 PHOTOS!! Please feel free to send me comments anytime! I would love to hear some feed back and encouragement! Till tomorrow!
